Description

The Battleship USS Iowa was designed as the lead ship of the world’s last class of battleships.

Many museums honor our WWII Veterans. Some honor our Korean War Veterans. And others honor those who served during the rest of the Cold War. The Pacific Battleship Center, on board the USS Iowa, honors all three, because the USS Iowa, the "World's Greatest Naval Ship," served valiantly in all three conflicts. It stands as a living monument to the servicemembers who have done so much for our freedom.

Through it all, the USS Iowa has stood tall, as a rock that the United States could lean on during the darkest times, and the fiercest fights.

The Pacific Battleship Center is the only battleship museum open to the public on the West Coast. Their mission is to celebrate the American Spirit through the preservation and interpretation of the Battleship Iowa as well as educate the public on the accomplishments and sacrifices of American patriots.

These donors want to preserve the legacy of the men and women who helped protect our freedom.
